Originally from the KZN Midlands, Rebecca Webster has had a passion for art and music from a young age and is currently in her second year studying Fine Arts at the University of the Free state.
Her artworks draw inspiration from socio-political issues that have affected her and her community, as well as, from the music and art that is present in the area around her, both in the Midlands and in Bloemfontein. With this balance of positive and negative, her works reflect a critical and an appreciative view of society and its culture.
She intends to specialise in Printmaking and New media to create further works that embody her views on society, ones that evoke within the viewer questions and an alternative way of thinking.
